Planned Giving

“Woodlawn, including the land, buildings, furniture, and pictures therein shall be kept as a public park”
— from the will of George Nixon Black, Jr.

With this one short phrase, George Nixon Black, Jr. bequeathed his family home and its priceless historical treasures to the Hancock County Trustees of Public Reservations.

With a bequest, a life-income gift, or other type of planned gift, you, like George Nixon Black, Jr., can thoughtfully provide for Woodlawn's future.  You will have the satisfaction of knowing that your gift will have a lasting legacy at Woodlawn thereby enriching the lives of many generations to come.

For more information on planning a gift to Woodlawn, please contact the Woodlawn offices at 667-8671.
